Nothing posted a teaser on its official community forum featuring the Pokémon Kingdra, with the words "Coming Soon". According to Android Authority, in an article dated October 23, the codename matches a September support page for the unannounced Nothing Ear (3) Pro. Nothing has not confirmed what the teaser refers to.
Key facts
- The teaser shows Kingdra, a Water/Dragon-type Pokémon, in Nothing's dot-matrix style, per Gadgets 360.
- The post quotes the Pokémon's description: it sleeps deep on the ocean floor and is said to cause tornadoes as it wakes.
- A support page for the Ear 3 Pro, since taken offline, carried the identifier 25253 and the codename Kingdra.
- Android Authority says it found an archived copy of that page dated September 7.
- Launch date, price and specifications have not been announced.
How the leak connects
A Reddit user spotted the support page in September and captured a screenshot. Android Authority reports that the page's code contained the line "25253 Kingdra Nothing Ear 3 Pro", along with placeholders for guides, features and troubleshooting.
India Today notes that Nothing has used Pokémon names as internal codenames before, and that the teaser does not mention earbuds or any specifications.
The codename pattern is not a reliable guide on its own. Android Authority points out that Pokémon types do not map to product categories: the Ear 2 used Azumarill, the Ear 3 used Feraligatr, and the Headphone 1 used Elekid. The support-page match is the stronger evidence.
Why it matters
Nothing has never sold a Pro version in its Ear line. Android Authority does not count the CMF sub-brand or the recent Headphone 1 Pro in that tally. If Kingdra is the Ear (3) Pro, it would be the company's first Pro-branded earbuds, placing it against Samsung's Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, Apple's AirPods Pro 3, and recent models from Sony and Bose, according to Android Authority.
That outlet expects better noise cancellation, improved microphones, longer battery life and higher-fidelity audio, and also suggests separate drivers for bass, mids and treble. It labels this speculation, not confirmed detail.
The baseline to beat
India Today recaps the standard Ear (3), which Nothing launched in September 2025. It has adaptive active noise cancellation rated at up to 45dB, 12mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 and LDAC support. Each earbud has a 55mAh battery that Nothing claims gives up to 10 hours of listening. The case includes a Super Mic that Nothing says can cancel noise by up to 95dB.
What to watch next
Nothing said the product is coming soon, so an official reveal should follow. Watch for confirmation of the Ear (3) Pro name, pricing, and whether the upgrades go beyond the standard Ear (3) in noise cancellation, drivers and battery life. Until then, the link between Kingdra and the Ear (3) Pro rests on a leaked page, not an announcement.
