One question. One number. No paid verdicts.
Every verdict answers the same question: is it worth your money right now? We don't pretend to have tested everything ourselves. We read the critics who did, all of them, and turn what they found into one honest number.
The scale
Skip: there's a better buy at this price, or critics found a flaw you can't ignore.
Wait: good, but overpriced, about to be replaced, or waiting on a fix.
Worth it: the critics broadly agree. We'd tell a friend to buy it today at this price.
What goes into the number
- AOnly scored reviews count. Hands-on reviews from established outlets that print a score. Previews, rumors and unboxings don't.
- BAt least three critics. No verdict until three independent outlets have scored it.
- CNormalized to 0–10. Stars, percentages and letter grades are converted to the same scale.
- DOutliers damped. With six or more reviews we drop the single highest and lowest score.
The process
- 01Read everything. We monitor reviews and reporting from outlets worldwide, around the clock.
- 02Extract, don't invent. Each critic's score, praise and complaints are pulled from their review and linked on our page.
- 03Check before publishing. Every number we print must appear in a cited source, or the page doesn't go live.
- 04Re-score when the world changes. New reviews update the number, and every change is logged on the page.
Independence
Ads are separate. Advertisers never see a verdict before it's published and can't buy placement in one. Affiliate links are labeled. We earn on some purchases, but a commission never moves a score. Deals only appear for products we've already rated.
AI, disclosed
Our desk uses AI to read and summarize sources at a scale no human team could. Every page says so, links every source it used, and never claims testing we didn't do. If we get something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
